Wagner, 35mm nine-hour mini-series starring Richard Burton, 1982. I worked only a few days on this production, mainly photographing scenes in Venice; but also in Vienna where the three actor knights Laurence Olivier, John Gielgud and Ralph Richardson appeared together in the same scene of a film for the first and only time.

Mozart in Japan, 16mm documentary about pianist Mitsuko Uchida, 1986.

Testimony, wide-screen feature about the life of Dmitri Shostakovich, starring Ben Kingsley, made mostly on location in the north of England, 1987.

Hindemith - A Pilgrim's Progress, 16mm documentary about German composer Paul Hindmith (1895-1963), with a voice-over by Sir John Gielgud, made in Liverpool, 1989.
